The first race of the Namibian Championship took place on February 11th, 2023, and it was also the first race for ROK in Namibia.

Four Kid Rok and four Mini Rok competitors made for an amazing turnout for the opening race.

Rain at Swakopmund caused a delay in the start of the day, but by 10:30 the action had started.

In practically every lap of the KID ROK races, there was overtaking and a change of the lead.

Kristopher Koudelka (#16) came first with Milla Botha (#5) on his heels, Herman Schouw (#15) came third and Petrus du Plooy (#36) fourth.

In the Mini Rok Class Cecil Koorts Jnr showed incredible pace with a time of 29.40 sec around the track

Cecil Koorts (#44) came first  with Kirsten Koudelka (#24) in second and Milla Botha (#29) , putting in work for both classes, finished in third ,unfortunately the fourth karter fell ill during the day and could not drive.

The following round will take place on March 11 in Windhoek, and the grid size is anticipated to increase.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Cema Racing team and all the officials who helped make this race possible. We are excited for what 2023 may bring!
