After the first day of competition at the FIA Motorsport Games, team Poland is leading the Karting Slalom as the field is reduced to the top 16 competitors who advance to the next round of competition on Saturday.

Following two clean laps in Friday's opening Karting Slalom session, Emilia Urszula and Karol Krol are in top place with a combined time of 2:52.106. The Team Germany duo placed highly in session two, with Annika Spielberger being the only front-runner to record a flawless run. They now lead Romberg and Spielberger by 5.3s.

After Adam Szabo won this morning's practice, Team Hungary is in the top three, with Lilla Horn placing sixth. Less over 0.5 seconds separate Team Estonia's Martaliisa Meindorf and Jurgen Laansoo from third place.

Team Hong Kong China barely made it to the top 16, giving Jaden Ing and Sum Nga Mok a chance to advance in tomorrow morning's Eight Final, while Team Uzbekistan fell short by nine seconds of making it through to the next round.

Action in the karting slalom resumes on Saturday at 9:00 with the Eight Final, followed by the Quarter Final at 12:00.
